If you plan on cooking the day before you leave, your kitchen may not smell all too pretty when you get back from your tropical destination. If you want to prevent that from happening here’s what you need to do:
  • Pour a cup of liquid dish washing soap down your kitchen drain.
  • Pour a cup of liquid dish washing soap into your sink.
  • Don’t worry about brand, any one will do. Just make sure you enjoy the scent.
  • Put on a tea kettle of water.
  • When your tea kettle starts to boil, take it off the heat.
  • Proceed to pour all of that water in your kitchen sink and down the drain,
  • Your sink will smell just fine when you get back or depending on your soap, like lemons.
  • You can do this in your bathroom and utility room sink as well.

If Your Off for Vacation, So Is Your Water

If your going on vacation during the warm summer months, then you can turn your water supply off before you leave. After all, you won’t be there, so there’s no need to keep it on during a summer vacation. Now, if you’re leaving during the winter to escape freezing weather, keep it on. Otherwise, turn your water off before you hit the road.

Come Back to a Clean Toilet You Didn’t Have to Scrub

It’s great to have a clean toilet, but it’s no fun scrubbing it.That’s especially true if your family is eating a nice fibrous diet. That’s real stinky business. However, if you’re going to be gone for a couple of days you have one of the best cleaning ingredient there is, time. You would be amazed how good your toilet can look if you throw in some vinegar, shit the lid, and go. Here’s what you need to do:
  • Pour two cups of baking soda into your toilet.
  • Put 4 cups of white vinegar into a large pot and bring it to a roaring boil on your stove.
  • Once the vinegar is boiling, pour it into your toilet.
  • Put down the lid.
  • When you get back, flush your toilet.
  • Your toilet should look squeaky clean.
